So, if your one of the HoFo Motorola Mod HF 11 ball lickers.... your in the wrong place.... but if your over the age of 19, can stay up past 10:00 p.m., and don't have nightmares at the mention of the word "BengalBoy"...... your definitely welcome to join in on what I'm sure is to be a very heated debate about "Which Phone is More PIMP"??????



The Upcoming Motorola Canary and Capri are the successors to the current RaZr and SlVr cell phones. With the same guts and hardware ..... consider them "Birds of a Feather" with some slight hardware differences. Namely, form factor, case materials and camera flash. In all other respects they are identical. So, despite some incorrect information from the GiZmodo leak..... (sure hope that Motorola leak didn't lose a job on those very poorly reviewed photos they decided to pass) please follow my Canary on-going review for menus, performance, and continuing information.



Form Factor Differences!!



The Most obvious difference between the Canary & Capri is the form factor. The Canary is the classic Motorola "ClamShell" or "Flip Phone" design while the Capri is a "Slider".





The Capri's Sliding Mechanism is Spring Loaded and is assisted by using your thumb on the slightly raised plastic bar below the screen. A slight push engages the spring loaded mechanism and the Capri Springs open rather easily. Much better than the piece of crap gayness that they called the V80.... The Capri carries the RaZr metal goodness under its RubberiZed Armor and feels very solid and weighty in your hand. It gives the feeling that you could use it as a self-defense weapon if needed. The Capri is BEEFY!!







On the other hand, the Canary is definitely like a woman....



long and slender with a beautiful body and case.... it begs to be pampered and coddled.... no way you lay it down on a table "Glass Side Down"!! And Damn, Damn, that FingerPrint... must get it off immediately le'st someone see her spoiled!!






Approximately the same thickness and length when closed.... the Canary and Capri differ somewhat with the Capri carrying a dedicated "Camera" hardware button vs. the Canary's classic Motorola ClamShell button layout of volume/smart key/voice dial .....







The Canary's Speaker Grill is much more attractive to me than the Capri's Slot in the back...





Both have a rubber cased back made of metal with the Capri being slightly wider in the middle...





and a 262,000 color LCD screen of the same size ...



Both carry the "A2DP" and "AVRCP" Bluetooth profiles in their stacks for stereo and remote control respectively....











Both are using a 2.0 MegaPixel Camera with Video Capture of up to 352 X 288 resolution...









But unlike the Canary.... the Capri has a "REAL CAMERA FLASH"!!



Capri at Night is not quite PIMP enough for me compared to the Beautiful Keypad of the Canary....







Canary Keypad in this Blue is just right for Da'Club to bring some wanted attention your way..... and it comes in different KeyPad colors as well as outer case colors to fit your personality...






The Capri is just alittle too "Blah" for me... course ...... I'm Da "Bleeding EDGE" PIMP and I expect a little more Flash for Da'Cash!!





Daylight kinda helps the Capri as its Neon Purple Rubber Suit makes it fit right in at the Pool.... and unlike the Canary you won't be so anal about where you place it in the event it gets dropped or knocked off a table...










Both use the same internal guts for battery, SIM and Micro SD Card layout.....



Capri's battery cover release at the top of the phone....



Compared to my other "Bleeding EDGE" phones... the Sony Ericsson 790i and Qtek 8500 "Star Trek" Smartphone.... the Capri is very muscular and stout!!





So, thats it for now. I'm gonna continue my review of the Canary but I'm also gonna post some better photos of the Capri as well. I'm just getting tired of lifting all these Motorola ProtoTypes.... maybe Howie will start posting some reviews of these Bleeding Edge Devices???? LoL!! That's Right!! He collects Tropical Frogs and only does this phone thing for money to buy more Frogs!! Personally, I love spending money watchin a Good Kitten Fight!!

This is AWESOME Congratulations again BBoy !!

At a first glance, I preferred the CAPRI because:

1.- I prefer sliders over flip-style phones
(call me nuts, I don't know why but I think "clam-shells" are for ladies [a purse mirror maybe ??] and sliders are for men [more "virile" look ??])
As a matter of fact, every high-end NOKIA phone (8800 series) is a slider !!

2.- and of course a flash (even a small one) is always welcomed

BUT...

I really like the "glass-esque" look of the canary
SUPER P.I.M.P.-looking piece of tech !!

Well I definitely agree that the Capri is more masculine...it feels more compact and is noticeably heavier... kinda muscular compared to the Canary's thin and willowy form factor......

But the Canary gets the attention and deservedly so. It looks special and expensive where the Capri looks sporty and fun. So, hands down I prefer the Canary.... Its PIMP!

However, change the case design of rhe Capri to brushed stainless or Smoke Chrome and you have a completely different personality and Uber'PIMP phone. With a non-rubberized case the Capri would be my choice in the above finish.... Professionals & PIMPS would be all over it!

Yep, there are some "Drones" in that thread... too stupid to realize that the best advertisement for my site is creating a whole thread with nothing more than my photos and URL proudly displayed!! LoL!! MOD HF 11 can't even buy a V60 but he spends more time looking for a URL to my site than Howie spends trying to remember his real name??? What a hopeless "Wanna Be"....

I will give it to Howie though, he sure does have alot of little "Worker Bee" "Drones"..... cough, cough, ..... MOD HF's doing his bidding for absolutely no pay while he gets the $15,000/month... Yep, I wish I could recruit some people that stupid to do my work for me....
