Well, this is just a fine looking new Windows Mobile Pocket PC Convergence Device from HTC.... carrying GPS and a FM Radio onboard,,,,, it is tiny... tiny.... very small!! And what's this??? A "Mouse"!!! First time I've seen this guys...

The Artemis does have a touch screen and stylus. You will have to input data just as you have in the past. The mouse is more of a tool like the customary D-Pad found on past devices. It is much easier to use though...just requiring the thumb to move in 2 directions instead of having to move from key to key.




Production Artemis has been acquired by Mobility Man. The changes are now a New Rubber Strip at the Top of the Device....





Cover pulls back to expose the external antenna jack...



The HTC Artemis will ship with a very nice "Car Windsheild Mount" that looks really nice and sturdy.....much better than the "Universal Vent Mounts" that are usually shipped with GPS Mapping programs....









The production Artemis will carry the "Tom Tom GPS Navigation" program on board its ROM and using the Navigon application here works perfectly in the unit's new ROM. Nice package with the windshield mount in Da'Mob Man's BMW ....









Bluetooth compatibility with the MicroSoft Bluetooth stack has been much improved..... the New HTC Artemis is fully compatable with the BMW Bluetooth system found in Da'Mob Man's PIMP'N 740i..... in Black of Course!!

Can't believe that these devices are so tiny. Artemis and Trinity don't seem to be that much bigger than the Prophet :) I can't wait to get my hands on the Trinity!!! I certainly hope it comes out within the next few weeks. I am going to pre-order right now given the opportunity!!!

However, whats the deal with the white body color on the Trinity?

Im not a big fan of the color scheme of the trinity. The Artemis does look nice though. Mark I think with all these new phones coming in you might need some help with reviews, dont be shy to send one or two my way

Trinity doesn't have A-GPS? What about just regular GPS? If it doesn't have GPS, then why on earth would anyone wan't to buy it? People might as well buy the TyTn!!!

Can you confirm and let me know if the Trinity atleast has regular GPS functionality?

Yes, I'm deluged with phones ... honestly... the Motorola Maxx is the one I'm most excited about right now in terms of "market importance".... gonna buy some more Motorola stock after getting this one...

Sorry Docc, no GPS on this model. Its the JAM on some 3G steroids. Exact same case and size. Some new menus and beautiful "Gloss Porciline White" finish. Proper stylus.... its really very "iPod" as Haider has already said.

The Artemis is the opposite in appearance... "Black & Sleek" with hidden buttons designed to blend in with the lines of the case. Its the prettiest design I've seen from HTC to date.... very P.I.M.P...... actually, in appearence its the "P.I.M.P.st" Pocket PC convergence device to fall in my hands since the Motorola MPx. and current Universal.

It has a GPS utility on-board "QuickGPS" that speeds up the "fixing of location" by downloading Ephemeris data over the internet via Activesync, WiFi or GPRS. Destinator 6 is on-board for a ready GPS application out of the box. FM radio as well...

I can't believe this!!! This has to be the stupidest mistake on the part of HTC!!! Why on earth would someone wan't to get the Trinity when the Hermes is available with the exact same specs AND A KEYBOARD!!!

In any case, i noticed a GPS icon on the Today screen of the Trinity. Whats that for? Just to remind us that they planned to give us GPS and then decided not to?!?! If they are trying to rub it in, they are certainly doing a good job!

I would have considered the Artemis, but i am NOT fond of the stupid TI OMAP 200 Mhz processor! My STrTrk has the same processor AS WELL!!! Direct me to the right person at HTC and i am certainly going to give them a piece of my mind!!!

Mark, can you just confirm once again if the Trinity has GPS or not!!! I really don't see myself buying it if it doesn't have GPS! Somehow, i have a feeling that Haider meant that this device doesn't have AGPS ONLY as i remember the roadmap mentioning the device having GPS AND AGPS!

Sorry, No GPS Docc.... just a super sweet blast from the past JAM case..... no FM radio.... No GPS... no Mouse.... Just a super powerful SamSung 400mHz Processor... video conferencing ability all world 3G connectivity and the rest you already know about. Its very pretty!! Has a proper stylus instead of the piece of shit in the Trinity and uses Mini SD instead of Micro SD...

The guts of the Trinity should be in the case of the Artemis with its wonderful new accessories.... Oh well... next year maybe.....

Personally, after putting the new ROM on my TyTn yesterday... It seriously kicks some ASS!! But Beautiful Gadget Loving Kittens will fawn over the Trinity's closine'a (sic) enamel like case....
